An active wheel sensor based on GMR one-chip technology. The sensor changes its resistance according to magnetic fields. In combination with the rotor 582628 the wheel speed sensor transmits a signal and an additional digital data packet with information about the direction of rotation and the distance to the rotor. The sensor has a current interface with three levels; in the plug-in element a shunt resistor of 47 Ω is already integrated.
As a special feature this sensor sends a digital signal even if the wheels are not rotating.
