The TPS module integrates two basic functions:
Firstly, it serves as a synthetic signal source in the baseband for generating the following signal forms:
-one-dimensional: AM/FM signal
-two-dimensional: QPSK; QAM 16; QAM 32; QAM 64
On the other hand, it has an IQ demodulation unit and a quality of service analysis for comparison with the synthesised output signal. (BER Measurment)
Together with the modules: superheterodyne transmitter and superheterodyne receiver, a compact training system can be set up. The aim of the training system is to provide undergraduate students of communications engineering, trainees in the field of radio and television engineering as well as prospective radar and radio technicians with a practical introduction to modern radio systems.
