This device is an original vehicle DC/DC converter for vehicles with a start/stop system. In such vehicles, the battery voltage often drops below 12 V due to the many starting processes. The use of the voltage stabilizer keeps the on-board voltage constant at 12 V during starting in order to avoid loss of comfort. The voltage stabilizer is a DC/DC converter to which selected components such as e.g. B. the instrument cluster, the radio but also the ABS/ESP control unit are connected.
Supported operating states:
- Active - ignition on
- Passive - ignition off
- Ready - Active and no error
- Stabilizing - Active and boot process active
- Error
In the "Stabilizing" state, the low-impedance galvanic connection is opened and the device begins to stabilize as soon as the "terminal 50" signal is present. The prerequisite for this is that the vehicle electrical system voltage drops below 12 V during the starting process. The "Stabilizing" status is indicated didactically by a control lamp.
The binary signals of the LIN data bus can be read out with the LIN bus PC adapter USB 7395881 and displayed and evaluated in the software on the PC.
The physical signals of the LIN bus can be displayed and evaluated using the Sensor-CASSY 2 and the Vehicle Diagnosis Tester 739589 software.
The display is multicolored and circuit diagram-compliant. To simplify the setup of an experiment, terminal 15 and the ground are carried out from left to right.
