The device includes a system for blind spot detection and a reversing camera.
Blind spot detection
2 ultrasonic transducers detect whether there is another vehicle in the side area of the vehicle and signals this by an optical warning. As soon as the driver intends to change the lane in the direction of the recognized vehicle by actuating the turn signal lever, an additional acoustic warning is issued.
The two transducers are designed as desktop units and can be positioned as desired. Both the conventional turn signal lever on the Stalk with with parking light 738131 and the CAN databus-controlled turn signal lever on the SMLS (Intelligent automotive lighting management system 738111) can be used. Detection is automatic. The minimum speed at which the system starts can be done locally by a toggle switch or externally by a CAN databus based signal. The audible warning can be switched off to reduce the noise level in the classroom.
Via an integrated USB interface, the self-diagnostic functions error memory read / delete, measured value display, actuator test and adaptation / coding can be accessed. The associated software is already included!
Reversing camera An integrated reversing camera is activated after engaging the reverse gear. This detection can be done locally or via the CAN databus in conjunction with the OBD adaptor 7381121. The displayed image is mirrored and provided with distance markings. In low light conditions, the infrared auxiliary light is automatically activated. A second camera can be connected via the front panel and used as a "Dashcam". This image is displayed in the correct direction on the monitor.
