Workpieces are separated from a magazine and placed on a holder. The fill level of the magazine is scanned with a light barrier and the workpiece on the holder with a microswitch. The material properties of the workpiece are determined using an optical and inductive sensor. A double-acting pneumatic cylinder pushes the workpieces out of the drop magazine one by one. Contactless signal transmitters detect the end positions of the cylinder piston.
The cylinder is activated by an electrically operated 5/2-way valve.
