Workpieces are guided past three chutes by a linear system equipped with a speed controller. A pneumatic output unit moves the workpieces onto the chutes depending on the type of material. The filling level of the chutes is monitored by a light barrier. The linear conveyor is positioned with a forked light barrier. The end positions of the cylinder piston are scanned using non-contact proximity switches.
The cylinder is controlled using an electrically actuated solenoid valve.
