This equipment set involves basic experiments on pulse-time modulations.
Pulse duration modulation (PDM) and pulse phase modulation (PPM) are commonly called pulse time modulations (PTM). As with the analog procedures for angle modulation, the useful information is not contained in the amplitude of the modulated signal. This reduces the susceptibility to interference from noise on the transmission channel.
Subsequent experiments are prepared for this equipment:
- Investigations of pulse sequences in time and frequency domain
- Investigations of PAM in time and frequency domain
- Investigations of the PDM in time and frequency domain
- Investigations of PPM in time and frequency domain
- Investigations of the PTM with the ramp method in time and frequency domain
- Demodulation of the PTM in time and frequency domain
